Reader Three is an advanced reader for adult literacy learners. It contains five or more sentences on each page. The passages can be used to teach beginning letter sounds because each page focuses on a phonic letter sound. Each page also has an image that gives a clue as to what the sentences are about. When a person's vocabulary is limited, images can help them understand what the text may be about. The images can also be used for discussion if the learner cannot read the words. This reader helps to build basic reading skills in adult literacy learners who are learning to improve their reading skills and also for ESL learners who are learning English.
