Mr. Luck & Ms. Doom

Recorded over much of 2023 and 2024, The Delines' new album marks their most commercial release to date, telling the poignant story of two ragged misfits: a failed criminal and a depressive house cleaner who find salvation in each other. With characters like Mr. Luck and Ms. Doom at its heart, the album weaves a narrative of ragged couples on the run, creating a deeply human and emotionally resonant record.

The recording process began at Bocce Studios in Vancouver, Washington, under the guidance of longtime collaborator John Morgan Askew. The album's songs and sound were crafted around Amy Boone’s evocative voice, complemented by lush production from Askew and rich horn and string arrangements by Delines keyboardist Cory Gray.

In 2022, The Delines released their critically acclaimed third album, The Sea Drift, which earned widespread praise and featured in numerous year-end top 20 polls across the EU and UK. It achieved the #1 spot in the UK (Americana UK, Uncut) and was celebrated in publications such as Rolling Stone France, Volkskrant Holland, and El País Spain. With over 100,000 European records sold from The Delines and Willy Vlautin’s former band Richmond Fontaine, Vlautin continues to expand his creative reach. His sixth novel is set to be adapted into a Netflix movie in late 2025, further solidifying his place as a master storyteller across multiple mediums.
