Flood Bank
Lines, The, Nick Cash, Rico Conning
A rare, early 80s post-punk gem from England's The Lines. This follow-up to their critically acclaimed singles compilation Memory Span includes both full-length LPs Therapy and Ultramarine. Featuring more intricate production, "Flood Bank" finds the group layering dense atmospheres, dub effects, and Krautrock influenced textures. Drifting through Avant-Punk-Funk rhythms are glimmering tones, throbbing pulses, and surprising instrumentation. Equal parts sonic experiment and beautiful, often melancholy songwriting - The Lines never lost sight of the subtle yet infectious pop hooks that made their earlier singles so fresh and fearless.
