William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver star in this American thriller. New York janitor, and Vietnam veteran, Daryll Deever (Hurt) becomes obsessed with television newsreader Tony Sokolow (Weaver). He finally gets to meet the object of his affection when she comes to report on a murder that's taken place in the office building he works in.

In an effort to prolong their acquaintance, Daryll tells Tony he knows something about the murder and the pair team up to dig deeper into the story. He doesn't actually know anything but the killers don't know that...
