A Defence of Poetry and Other Essays (Annotated)

Differentiated book- It has a historical context with research of the time-This book contains a historical context, where past events or the study and narration of these events are examined. The historical context refers to the circumstances and incidents surrounding an event. This context is formed by everything that, in some way, influences the event when it happens. A fact is always tied to its time: that is, to its time. Therefore, when analyzing events that took place tens, hundreds or thousands of years ago, it is essential to know the historical context to understand them. Otherwise, we would be analyzing and judging what happened in a totally different era with a current perspective. Percy Bysshe Shelley (Field Place, Horsham, England, August 4, 1792-Viareggio, Grand Duchy of Tuscany, July 8, 1822) was an English writer, essayist, and romantic poet. Among his most famous works are Ozymandias, Ode to the West Wind, A Lark and The Mask of Anarchy. He is also known for his association with other contemporary writers, such as John Keats and Lord Byron, especially as a member of the so-called Cockney School, formed by the second generation of English Romantic poets. He died, like the latter, at a young age. He was married to the writer Mary Shelley. Percival Bisshe Shelley was born into a very wealthy family of the Sussex aristocracy descended from the Earl of Arundel
