Muse of Mute Testimony X E Yims

Muse of Mute Testimony, is a poetry collection chronicling the events of a spontaneous infatuation, youthful love, the "ghosting culture," self-exploration and self-rediscovery. It's a visceral road trip right into the vein of Indie-poetry; grappling with all the elements that tangle two souls in an awkwardly lonely world, desire, unwant, passion and self-love. Meant to be read as one would flip through the pages of a yearbook or a family picture album, tiny glimpses conjugating into focus. At the same time, each piece can be taken out of context. The natural flow and high energy of the work gives the reader a hot, caffeinated beverage feel, but not too hot to burn the tongue or too buzzy to dizzy. The collection as a whole is intimate, honest, twee and bemusing; it's sure to raise a laugh or two, or to invoke throwing the damn book across the room. This is the first published work of X. E. Yims and he delivers with a fever dream of lyrical joy, oozing with angst and burning with passion. Muse of Mute Testimony is In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, for this generation of young writers, poets and artists; for it lives in and outside of the realm of poetry and true, beautiful madness.
