The Longest Turn

During the last decade, corporate America paid out more than 90% of free cash flow in share buybacks. Many major U. S. corporations have found themselves enfeebled by such irresponsible behavior, while shareholders who have stayed the course now own shares in smaller, weaker firms. So, while executives and Wall Street traders have benefitted from the current financial system, growing Asian corporations have quickly taken market share from their Western counterparts. The Western media have played their role by avoiding press coverage of the financial destruction of corporate America for benefit of the few, all while blaming China and a host of other nations for U. S. societal and economic ills. To find the real pandemic of the 21st century, look no further than a fiat paved Wall Street. The Fed and Congress have contributed to this predicament by printing vast amounts of enabling currency and passing hallucinogenic 'budgets' that will financially enslave the younger generations, forever. The worldwide use of fiat has eliminated any real price discovery, as asset prices and their supportive debts continue to explode. Big business and big government have taken the reins, and for most Americans, the ride will be increasingly terrifying.
