Chasing Zephyrs Alahana Isgrigg

Chasing Zephyrs by Ayo Gutierrez, Alahana Isgrigg, and Anne Thrope excite and delight with their beautifully crafted words. You can feel the beat of the syllables as you read the poems. They carry you through the full realm of possibilities with so many different moods and images. Their verses rise to the highest heights and plummet to despair, then float above the stars. This is a book of rare beauty in the art of poetry. This is one of the best poetry books that I have read in a long time. - Ann Christine TabakaChasing Zephyrs, an oeuvre of three prolific poets (Ayo Gutierrez, Alahana Isgrigg, and Ellen S. Breiling), is insightful, powerful, exciting and savvy! The poetic lines of Gutierrez are incendiary which can connect and excite the readers. Her writing is so compulsive that may awaken the sleeping soul and senses. Because of her fiery and romantic words, Gutierrez's style is a similitude to that of Emily Dickinson who introduced the volcanic expression in poetry. Isgrigg weaves subtle words and uses impeccable lines to poignantly inculcate to the readers the change of state of one's self and metamorphoses of things. Breiling evokes her creativity by soaring the vast space and time to reverberate silently the echoes of the heart. With a superb sense of craft, the three poets evoke powerful lines that will take everyone into spatial dimensions and juxtaposed scope. Their poems will touch the senses like the elusive zephyrs. - Danny GallardoCo-author of Bards from the Far East: Anthology of Haiku and Kindred Verses and Plethora: A Collection of TankaTo read the work of these talented poets, on such sad topics as loss and grief, is conversely a delight. Their articulate use of words pulls on feelings, taking those lucky enough to buy or read this book with them on the journey. A treasure chest of emotions to be dipped into from time to time. I loved it. -Penny Wobbly Creative writer at Wobbling Pen Author of Lily Tales and Satu Stories
