Did you come home from the hospital with your beautiful new baby in tow, only to realize that you forgot the parenting manual that was supposed to come with the baby? I made that same mistake not once, but three times, apparently. Unfortunately, children do not come home with a manual that will help you avoid pitfalls throughout this parenting journey. This book allows you to take advantage of the lessons I have learned over my years of parenting three girls. I am a firm believer that if a lesson is worth learning, it is worth learning the hard way. I am right in the thick of the parenting battle right now, with three girls aged 16, 8 and 2. Each one comes with her own particular challenges, and her own joys. This book consists of 94 lessons that I have learned from parenting my girls. The lessons contained within these pages actually take place over the course of a little over a year, and I have many more lessons to share, as well. Each lesson is accompanied by an anecdote that precipitated the lesson, and a Bible verse that I found somewhat appropriate to the story. I hope that some of these stories and these lessons can help other parents out there who, like me, are trying to keep their head above water. And if they are not helpful, I think that at the very least they will be entertaining. You can laugh with me or you can laugh at me. But if I make you laugh throughout this book, then my mission will be complete.
