Maid
Alex Saveliev
An Airport Maid... A Descent Into Madness... Bertha, a middle-aged airport hotel maid, is stuck in a perpetual rut. She pieces together remnants of the rooms' inhabitants, imagining their lives down to every minute detail. As her fantasies become increasingly real, lines between reality and thought, sanity and madness, human and ghost start to blur. A poetic ode to LONELINESS, ALIENATION and the POWER OF THE HUMAN MIND, "Maid," which was featured on Roger Ebert's literary blog, is bound to resonate with anyone who has ever felt despair and loneliness, with no means of escape other than their own mind.
