You've met Marlee in A Matter of Chance as Sunny's sidekick and best friend. Now you get Marlee's story as she returns to the ranch for a visit only to wind up getting caught up in a mystery of her own. Marlee Letloff hasn't seen her best friend, Sunny Brafford-Hawk, in nearly a year, ever since Sunny married an Arizona rancher and moved out of Riley, Wisconsin. So when Sunny invites Marlee to the ranch with a plus one, Marlee decides to bring along her theatrical cohort, Eddie. The trip runs aground when Sunny is found arguing with her disgruntled chauffeur. It isn't long before mishaps start occurring around the ranch, leaving some to wonder who among them is trying to sabotage Sunny's brand-new B& B endeavor. And while the powers that be are trying to solve this mystery, someone far away has already planned another, which proves miles don't matter where Marlee Letloff is concerned in this prequel to The Thorny Rose Mysteries.
