As an adult she went back to school, wrote three books, and joined with six other students and teachers to start and run their own grass-roots school. Georgia's life is a remarkable arc in education. Written by Georgia Rogers and her friend and colleague Shash Woods, this book is oral history, Black history, biography, and a tale of advocacy and collaboration. It is designed to be accessible for both new adult readers, and those who have been reading for a long time.
