A Whistle in the Wind

Twiga, a little giraffe, is troubled when Hyena mocks him for how he drinks at the watering hole. When the rainy season ends and the source of water dries up for the animals of the African
plains, Twiga follows his mama, trusting she knows best. He learns each animal is different and uniquely created. And he learns that Hyena's teasing cannot change a thing.
Delightful watercolor illustrations and stylized text in this engaging picture book will motivate even non-reading children to interact with the story. And Twiga's discovery that Hyena's teasing cannot hurt him will give children a new perspective on being teased.
Questions at the end of the book prompt further discussion and activities, including a fun search for the heart hidden on every giraffe pictured in the book.
