Thirty Pieces
G Horgan
When Celia buys a silver coin in the Cayman Islands, miraculous events begin to surround her, starting with an act of healing causing an episode of stigmata. Unwillingly thrust into a spiritual quest to locate all thirty pieces, Celia embarks on a harrowing adventure with her college love who left her years earlier for the priesthood. Navigating by religious texts, prophecies, Einstein's theories, and modern technology, their crusade draws them through ancient ruins in Mexico and sacred places in Turkey with the belief that reuniting the coins will result in heaven on earth and a new era for the world. Hindered by natural disasters and religious zealots also seeking coins, Celia runs a race against time, truth, and doubt. Can she reunite the thirty pieces without the stigmata killing her, or succumbing to the coin's intense powers, in order to bring enlightenment and the heavenly transformation on Earth that was prophesied?
