In this first of A Beach Read Series, Liz Thompson adjusting to an impending divorce, wants to gather her family together at their beach house for the week of July 4th. Problems? Dad wants to bring his new girlfriend and take over the house. Liz doesn't want to give up the house and not see her kids. Neighbor, Quentin Montgomery, a Sam Elliott look alike, steps in and saves the day more than once. The Thompson children seem to step around the problems their parents are causing by not taking sides, but they begin to see each parent in a new light. Liz relies on Montgomery to help her through the tumultuous week. Her ex just becomes more frustrated with all the living arrangements. An easy and breezy read, anyone can inhale this book in a couple of days. It's funny. It's real. And it has some poignant moments. Slip this into your beach bag today! You won't be disappointed.
