Ejvind V Rambush
This is the ubiquitous and sometimes hedonistic memoir of Ejvind Vigge Rambush from his birth in 1914 through his childhood schooling in Denmark, his days at Cambridge University, to his time as an officer in the Royal Engineers during and after WW2. In 1939 he was sent to Berlin by the Royal Engineers to advance his German language skills in order to qualify as an interpreter in the British army. Thus he was in Berlin at the volatile political time on the cusp of the War. After the War, amongst other assignments he was posted to Malaya in the Far East as GSO II Intelligence in Singapore. The text gives insight into Army life throughout the war and it's aftermath. The memoir was originally intended to close in 1956 upon his retirement from the Army but the text mysteriously fades out in mid-sentence and mid-paragraph after the description of the historic Danish Family Reunion in Viborg in 1954. The whereabouts of the sadly missing pages, if they were ever completed, is a subject of much speculation.
