Impure Madness
Jean Pailler
A brief album of short stories and free verse, written in English by a man who is better known for his works on fiction, historical fiction, and downright history. Poetic prose and prosaic verse. An ordinary Englishman is the central figure of a fable about luck good and bad - and the absurdity of Fate. Another Englishman spends a day and a night in a seaside resort in Portugal, waiting for the world to end. A man reflects on the modern trend of "coming out". The rest is bad verse, or worse, about Life, Faith, Sex and Fun, which is what poetry is about. Jean Pailler is a jack of all trades who writes fiction and has a passion for history. His natural language is French, but he says that his madness comes out more naturally in English.
