A social scientist, psychologist, economist and political scientist, Miklós Fodor, has managed a successful international HR consultancy firm in Budapest, Hungary for the past 10 years. Specializing in mathematics, he graduated from a premier high school in Hungary, and continued his education at the distinguished Eötvös Loránd University. Having conducted over 3000 life interviews throughout his career, he has formed a detailed understanding of the motives of people taking important decisions in their professional lives, and understanding how personal and professional goals interact. This has enabled him to create a new, simple approach to psychology. The book is a series of easy-to-read articles, illustrated with diagrams, that explain specific everyday phenomena - such as happiness, the arts, confession, or sex - by applying the same conceptual framework. Topics include: how do you choose a spouse; why do you spend time solving puzzles; what motivates billionaires to continue working? The final chapter of the book discusses different ways of reaching happiness.
