Gospel of Mark - Study Bible Red Letter edition

Apostle Paul has already formulated the fundamental theology of modern Christianity in 20 letters to Church leaders before the Gospels were written. Paul died in 64 AD. Mark wrote his Gospel, after death of Paul, between 65 AD and 70 AD. Mark never saw Jesus. Jesus is portrayed as a Prophet in Mark. Jesus spoke Aramaic language which is sister language of Hebrew and Arabic. Gospels were written in Greek. Original writings of Mark are lost. Contemporary historical or independent sources are not available to corroborate the Gospel narrations. One has to accept it on faith alone. Gospel of Mark is very concise and includes only the narratives that were deemed accurate by author. It starts with the baptism of Jesus and it ends with few women discovering an empty tomb. They were told that Jesus has risen (got up) and went to Galilee. Different points of view are presented in long commentaries and the reader is left to draw his own conclusions. This translation is the result of years of in-depth research. This is a multicolor edition with words of Jesus in 'Red'.
