Tessa lost everything except for her brother a few days after her twenty-fifth birthday in a horrific automobile accident. It doesn't take long for her to decide that she needs to get away from the town that she has always called home, and she makes the decision to move to the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri, with her brother, Mitchell, in tow.
