In this self-study of teacher education practices utilizing a life history methodological approach I examine the development of ESL teacher educators' professional teacher knowledge. In addition, I explore the influence of the participants' life experience-based knowledge as well as the impact of the socio-political context (the university environment) where their teaching practices are situated to better understand the construction of their professional teaching knowledge.
