A Peek into the Parsonage
Elaine E Wolters
Her life on the farm was perfect in every way: seeing her husband thriving as a farmer while spending her days taking care of the house and their young children. Yet author Elaine E. Wolters' life was about to change with her husband's decision to join the seminary. Their shared memories, with their children, comprise the autobiographical stories in her book A Peek into the Parsonage. Leaving their Idaho farm, Elaine and her family traveled to Illinois for her husband to attend Concordia Theological Seminary. Time was then focused on handling duties as a first-time pastor and raising a family while attending school. Elaine recalls fondly the memories of seeing her husband start church congregations, as they served in many parishes in several parts of Canada and the United States. A Peek into the Parsonage is a meaningful depiction of one family's ultimate journey into serving the God they love.
