Desperate measures is a fictional account of four men who, after collectively spending thirty years in the bush, are unsympathetically informed by their new C. O?s that they do not qualify for a State pension. Feeling cheated and immensely disappointed by what was considered tantamount to traitorous treatment, they set about stealing what they believed was their right. In numerous cleverly planned and daring escapades they acquire much more than ever intended and later also manage to invest these funds rather astutely. Along the way they meet delightful ladies, begin new business ventures, have several encounters with wily and persistent law enforcement officers.
