The forecasting for the rates of growth between 1999 and 2025 shows that; as far as the purchasing power parity considered, gross national product (GNP) of Turkey which had been 405 billion dollars in 1998 will rise up to 1 trillion 455 billion dollars by 2025. This basically means that; if Turkey shall continue the same growth rate as this period, she will be able to exceed today's Italy by 2021, the UK by 2022, France by 2023, Germany by 2029, Japan by 2040, and the US by 2061. If Turkey and G7 countries might continue to pursue similar growth rates, she will be able to get ahead of Canada by 2029, Italy by 2035, and France by 2040. By 2050, Turkey will not only have left Germany behind but also become a SUPER POWER surpassing the UK, which is currently behind France and Germany but predicted to exceed them if she can manage to continue the present growth rate.
