Life in a small farming community in Northwestern Ohio wasn't easy for Nathan Mercer. That's because he was very self-conscious of his height and his stuttering, and because by nature he had the uncanny ability to bond physically and mentally and spiritually with not only humans, but with all creations, which in turn didn't set to well with some people.
