Roger Searcy
Fourteen year old Rob Saunders just wants to do the things all young boys dream of doing; play a little rock and roll with his band, meet a girl and fall in love. He just wants to have some fun and experience the joys of growing up. But something happens along the way. Someone evil comes along, threatening to steal his dreams...and possibly his life. The setting is a small Southern town during the 1960's where segregation still reigns supreme. Can his older brother and friends save him from evil? Will an unlikely alliance with a black teenager be his salvation? Or will Rob have to find strength beyond his years to save himself? That Summer... will have you laughing, but on the edge of your seat as you follow our hero's journey from boyhood into manhood. "Roger Searcy brings a small town to life in a near-perfect blend of young love, humor and suspense."-Joan Moore Lewis, author of 'In His Corner: Will the Real Billy Joe Please Stand'
