In 1997 New York State's largest bingo hall opened just outside Albany, New York. After making millions for the charities that occupied the hall and cornering the bingo market in upstate New York, the state attorney general's office indicted the bingo hall owner and his family and friends in one of the largest criminal cases ever. Denying the charges, the bingo hall's owner publicly accused the attorney general of political incompetence and corruption. After settling the criminal case and costing the attorney general his seat in office, the owner then became the target of the state's Racing and Wagering Commissioner. Vindicating his political friend, concealing his own payoff and attempting to take over the bingo hall for himself, the Racing and Waging Commissioner had the owner's license revoked and the hall closed. From the bribes it took to open the business to the political chicanery that followed, now revealed for the first time is the true story of Bingo City.
