June of 1929, as an American family dynasty, the Houghton's are celebrating the upcoming nuptials of their only son and heir Emerson to Miss. Brilliance Crabtree. Tragedy strikes, when their guests soon discover he is shot dead in cold-blood and supposedly by his fiancee still holding the smoking murder weapon. Did she do it and why?
