The Dirty Hands screenplay took three years from the written phase until early pre-production. It got a small budget, a big casting director (Mali Finn), and a name attached (Woody Harrelson). And then it fell apart. This is the other side of Hollywood not often mentioned: the 90% of movies that don't get made. Dirty Hands was one of them.
