Two Animal Rights Stories
Rick Bogle
From the author of Vegan Nation, two stories about alternate futures, one bleak, one hopeful... both set in the reality of our relationship with the other animals. Tell Me Your Story is set in a post-WWII future after Germany's successful efforts to establish its 1000-year Reich. Non-Aryans, deemed sub-humans, have become the lab animal of choice. But not everyone is happy about the status quo. The Risks of Empathy is set in an alternate future when all disease has been conquered and people are grappling with living very long monotonous lives. A novel entertainment device rescues them, but leads to unexpected consequences when users are able to share the experiences of other animals.
