A baby is sold for a magnificent diamond. Later, as a young woman, her life is endangered because only she knows where to find it. The isolation and desolation of the geography augments her desire to be left alone yet as an overcomer, her life touches all those around her. Yinni is the sole descendent of five generations of Hermanns, each of these a single child family, each of these abandoned by the father at some stage. She is up against overwhelming odds but Yinni is a worthy opponent to the challenges of life as an abandoned child physically impaired.
