Andy Bell is a college student on summer vacation at his father's cabin in the New York Adirondack Mountains. He befriends a reclusive old man--Walker--who is dying of cancer. Through a series of events, Andy learns that Walker, thirty-seven years ago, was involved in the assassination of President Kennedy. With old CIA operatives and current FBI agents converging on Beaver River, New York, Andy must seek confessions from old men who have kept the secrets and killed off the participants and witnesses to an event before he was born.
